The problem we couldn't ignore
For years, we've been running YourMedicals — a UK online pharmacy. Every day, we'd help patients with NMS consultations, weight loss programmes, blood pressure checks, and travel vaccines. They'd leave feeling looked after. And then? Most of them never came back.
Not because we weren't good at what we did. Because we never reached out again. There were always more patients to see, more prescriptions to dispense, more admin to clear. The follow-ups got pushed to "tomorrow," and tomorrow rarely came.
Why we built Pharmassist
We looked for tools that would automate this for us. There were SMS platforms aimed at GPs, generic email marketing tools, and a couple of pharmacy systems that handled SMS reminders — but none of them understood pharmacy. None of them knew that an NMS Day 7 follow-up has a specific clinical purpose. None of them knew that flu jab patients need an annual reminder in early September. None of them knew our world.
So we built it ourselves. Pharmassist is the retention engine we wanted — clinically appropriate, properly automated, and designed for how UK pharmacies actually work.
Who we are
Pharmassist is built and run by Aven Systems Ltd, a UK company founded by a registered pharmacist. We're not a generic SaaS company that happens to sell to pharmacy. We are pharmacy. Every email template is written by us. Every flow is designed around the realities of GPhC compliance, NHS contracts, and patient care.

Where we're going
Right now, Pharmassist is a focused retention engine. Long-term, we want to be the operating system for the patient relationship in UK pharmacy — covering booking, communication, retention, and reactivation in one place. But we're starting with what matters most: making sure your patients come back.
